Seymour

Did you know? The Seymour area was first settled in the 1800s for access to water.

There’s a network of tunnels, roads and old buildings beyond the end of Riverside Drive toward the old Twin Bridges. The tunnels held the original pipes for the Seymour watershed. If you look hard enough, you’ll find the foundations and old hearths of the original homes and buildings.

From humble beginnings as a remote forest community, Seymour now encompasses the Maplewood, Riverside, Blueridge, Seymour Heights, McCartney Woods, Windridge, Windsor Park, Northlands, Parkway, Parkgate, Indian River, and Roche Point, according to the District of North Vancouver website. That’s a vast area with each its own personality, amenities and events. Follow the links below to learn more about the individual neighbourhoods.
